Fall 2019 / Winter 2020 Fashion Trends

We, at Fashion and Invites, aim to help you take on the seasons in style. We’ve researched the trends shown on the runways and highlighted our findings below. We’ve also included items, many of which are found on our free iPhone app – Fashion Invite, that incorporate these beautiful trends. We hope your fall and winter are happy, healthy, fun, and of course fashionable.

Satin

This smooth glossy fabric was seen draping the models on several runways including those of Versace, Jonathan Simkhai, and Sies Marjan.  Although the material may be light for those in colder climates, it can be warmed up with sweaters worn under or cardigans draped over the satin.

Tiny Bags

Micro bags from designers such as Jacquemus, Brandon Maxwell, Paco Rabanne, and Ferragamo are all the rage.  We have to admit, when we first heard of the tiny bag craze, we had a momentary flashback to Zoolander and his micro-mini cell phone.  But once we got past this momentary flashback, we could see the benefits in addition to the obvious beauty of these bags – no room for clutter and ample room for style!

Fuzzy Outerwear

Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear . . . or maybe not! You too can rock the fuzzy look, wearing the fuzzy jackets and coats featured on runways such as COACH and 3.1 Phillip Lim. What a nice way to stay warm and cozy this fall and winter.

Purple Reigns

Since we are big fans of the Purple One at Fashion and Invites, the one and only Prince, we are excited that purple has been a frequently featured color on the fall / winter runways. Michael Kors, Derek Lam and Kate Spade New York are just a few designers / brands that embraced this color and look.
